New Managing Consultant for VIMA Group

We are pleased to welcome Chris Emerton as Managing Consultant.

Chris is an experienced logistician having specialised, primarily in Defence, during a long and successful Army career.  Since leaving the Forces, he has Project Managed multi-million-pound capability projects for EDF, predominantly specialist vehicles and tiered fuelling solutions, which also involved working closely with manufacturers to design and generate bespoke backup and resilience support to Nuclear power stations.  Unusually, given the tight deadlines imposed by the regulator, the projects invariably required accelerated requirements capture, specifications, selection of suppliers, design input and the creation of training material.

More recently, Chris has been involved with the Submarine Delivery Agency and its Industry Partners providing upkeep and materials planning for Operational platforms and major refits together with supply chain related performance analysis and reports.  Throughout the five years associated with submarines, he has also led project assurance activities to the “main gate” for a new class of submarines and has been a key contributor to demand planning and other maintenance life-cycle improvement initiatives.

On his appointment, Chris commented, “I’m pleased to join VIMA Group and looking forward to contributing to its ongoing success.”

Although the gap between spring and chicken is getting ever broader, Chris is a keen mountaineer. He organises annual via ferrata trips to the Alps, and whenever he can, he will spend time mountain walking in the UK.
