Bringing a lasting legacy
At VIMA, we combine expertise in digital transformation with practical knowledge of the realities of public sector IT systems. This ensures that our recommendations are always realistic, impactful and sustainable – something that the Gloucestershire Constabulary appreciated during our work together.
The client’s challenge
Gloucestershire Constabulary required a review of their IT Service Management arrangements. They needed to undertake a programme of digital transformation initiatives, while maintaining a diverse range of Business As Usual services.
The existing team structures and management processes had to be baselined against best practice, to make sure that strategic actions could be prioritised and future changes managed.

How we helped
-
Provided specialist resources
VIMA provided specialist resources to review and benchmark activity against the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The team:
- Reviewed processes and management structures
- Engaged with stakeholders through tailored questionnaires and assessment criteria
- Captured ongoing initiatives and lessons learned for wider application across the organisation

People need to be at the heart of change. It’s not always easy to embrace change, and it’s natural to fear the unknown.
“The VIMA Group team provided excellent insight to help accelerate and provide clarity to our Digital Transformation. The blend of technical expertise and pragmatism enabled a collaborative engagement that recognised our nuanced challenges and constraints.
By leveraging best-practice approaches, VIMA Group’s review of our ICT Function and Change Programme has really helped us clarify our thinking, and provides confidence to the team as we take the next steps on our transformation journey.”
Jon Stratford, Deputy Chief Constable of Gloucestershire Constabulary
